This year 16th Holocaust Essay Award for University Laureates from the counties of the former Soviet Union organized by Vebre et Lumier-Vigiliance, the Simon Wiesental Center-Europe and the Russian Holocaust Research Center took place on Zoom, unlike before in the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

The Award ceremony was a part of a bigger event - XIV International Conference For Students
And Young Scholars "Holocaust - Memory And Prevention", which happened this year in Moscow. We are glad our student ,Galina Lochekhina, took part in the event. Her essay about Anita Panek, a Holocaust survivor and professor emeritus of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, recieved a 3rd prise and is going to be published under UNESCO patronage in two languages: English and Russian.
