Krzysztof Michalski

philosopher, professor at the University of Warsaw and Boston University, Rector of the Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen (Institute for Human Sciences) in Vienna. He obtained his Ph.D. with a thesis Heidegger i filozofia współczesna [Heidegger and Contemporary Philosophy] (1974, pub. Warsaw 1978), and earned his habilitation in 1986 with Logika i czas. Próba analizy Husserlowskiej teorii sensu [Logic and time. An Attempt at a Phenomenological Analysis] (Warsaw 1988), both at the University of Warsaw. He was a co-founder of the Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen in Vienna.

Krzysztof Michalski was the author of such works as Płomień wieczności. Eseje o myślach Fryderyka Nietzschego [Flame of Eternity. Essays on the Thought of Friedrich Nietzsche] (Znak 2007); Człowiek w nauce współczesnej. Rozmowy w Castel Gandolfo [The Human in Contemporary Science. Conversations in Castel Gandolfo] (Znak 2006). He also translated Martin Heidegger's Zur Sache des Denkens as Ku rzeczy myślenia (Aletheia 1999).
