Anna Marchewka, PhD

Anna Marchewka, PhD

(1978) is a critic and literary scholar. Her work has been published in Lampa, Zadra, Chimera, Tygodnik Powszechny, Dwutygodnik, Bluszcz and Midrasz, among others. She is the author of the book Ślady nieobecności. Poszukiwanie Ewy Szelburg ("Traces of Absence: Searching for Ewa Szelburg"). She won a stipend from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2011).

Marchewska is the co-host of literary programmes in TVP Kultura (Czytelnia/"Reading Room" and Czytanie to awantura/"Reading Is a Brawl") and Radio Krakow (Koło kultury/"The Cultural Circle").

In the Centre for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, she co-hosted the "Marginesy Humanistyki" ("The Margins of the Humanities") cycle of meetings. She taught courses concerning popular literature and contemporary literary life as part of the Literary Criticism concentration.
