PhD in literary studies; he earned his degree with distinction after defending dissertation "Zygmunt Haupt. Subjectivity and representation". At the Centre for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, he is responsible for international programmes, including summer schools organized in cooperation with U.S. and Canadian partners, and for the MA Programme in Comparative Studies. Member of the Admission Committee at the Faculty of Polish Studies. He coordinates the Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program at Jagiellonian University. He is a member of the Association Réseau Universitaire Européen de Psychanalyse, and part of research teams for the journalistic of the poets of „Żagary” group, as well as the research project „University-City-Literature” in cooperation with the Vilnius University. He taught courses like "Cultural Identity of Central Europe" or "Postcolonial Perspective to Polish Culture". His research interests include theory and philosophy of literature, psychoanalysis, borderland and postcolonial/post-dependence studies.
